Dr. Winston Wallace
Dr. Winston Wallace has been a zealous provider and advocate in the human service field for over two decades. He first began in the field in the year 2000 as a per diem Direct Support Professional, over the ensuing years he rose from a direct care level of service to lower management positions, to middle management. He also provided services as a clinician before assuming the role of upper management. Dr. Wallace has served with several of the major service providers in New York City, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Wallace has earned five degrees all within the field of human services (AS, BA, MA, MS, Ph.D.), and is currently a Doctor of Psychology. Dr. Wallace has had extensive training in the clinical arena, he has worked with New York City Department of Corrections where he completed psychological screenings for candidates for employment as officers. Dr. Wallace has also worked with a plethora of populations such as juveniles, youths with emotional/behavioral issues, adults diagnosed with IDD/Autism, as well as the dually diagnosed. Dr. Wallace is a clinical consultant, instructor, and provides consultation on program evaluations for organizations
As the Executive Director, Dr. Wallace is committed to creating an organizational culture of competency, empathy, and integrity. Dr. Wallace leads a team of professionals that are dedicated to the values and missions of the organization, he strives to create a conduit by which the underserved are recognized and provided opportunities and resources to live a life of purpose and meaning.
Tamika Nugent-Wallace, MSW
Tamika Wallace serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Vision Of A Better Tomorrow. In her role, Tamika provides leadership and is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the organization as well as the Intake and the Community Services Department of Waiver Support Services.
Tamika has earned her Master of Social Work degree from an accredited Educational Institution and has over 19 years of professional experiences as a healthcare professional in the field of Human Services. Tamika’s primary focus is on supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, some of whom have secondary diagnoses of Mental Health. Tamika is passionate and enthusiastic about supporting others, providing PERSON CENTERED SERVICES to the individuals/families served with an emphasis on QUALITY and AN EMPATHETIC approach from the VBT Team.
Throughout her professional career, Tamika provided leadership and guidance across various positions supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities through Federal and State funded Medicaid Waiver Programs. Tamika’s journey within the field began as a Direct Support Professional and over the years have graduated to various leadership roles, serving in capacities as a Director and Coordinator overseeing programs in New York City.
Tamika believes in working as a team, supporting and empowering our individuals to live an independent and meaningful life. Through Tamika’s guidance, the VBT employees are tasked with working with our individuals to meet their goals while working collaboratively to meet the mission of VBT.
